Mother of All Trips
(August 2007) We have decided to formalize our planning for our “Mother of All Trips!” (MAT) Informally, we began talking about this trip in June of 2007. MAT will be a multi-year affair for our entire family (Two adults and two kids). This trip will take many years to plan, and require a lot of money … So starting to plan and save now for this year 2016 trip seems like a good idea. :) There are many things we will get out of this trip, to include teaching our children the value of saving money, being patient, perseverance, goal setting, and research skills. Further, we will be giving them an incredible experience before they head off into the world on their own, seeing the world for what it really is … and not simply what we see here in America.The funding of the trip will be by way of saving a percentage of all money earned by the family, gifts from others, and any other means we can think of!
